The Older Carers Service

Origo Cornwall Ltd is known as Origo

Origo is a registered charity which was set up by carers of people with learning

disabilities.

ORIGO’S first project, the Older Carers Service is already making a difference . There has been  a very positive response to this service from its clients and stake holders.

Through the Older Carers Service, Origo  has been able to highlight the needs of carers and people with learning disabilities.

Dan Rogerson MP for North Cornwall stated in April 2008 

 “It is so important that organisations like this are given scope to be able to help those whose sole priority is caring for others.  Origo is a hugely commendable service, providing invaluable help and support to carers and their families”. 

Origo now intends to make further targeted funding bids to expand the services that Origo can offer to the people it serves. It welcomes approaches from other organisations with ideas and is happy to share its knowledge and experiences with those that are setting up new projects. Origo believes in working together.
